Nights Away
To take young people away overnight you need a Nights Away Permit. This page aims to document
the process of becomming authorised to take young people away overnight, and what is necessary
each time you do so.
How to get a Nights Away Permit
What to do for each Nights Away Event
- Ensure you or one of your team holds a Nights Away Permit valid for your activity (check category)
- Appoint a Home Contact, and ensure they have read the Home Contact Factsheet
- Complete the Nights Away Notification:
- Over 1 week in advance of all normal Nights Away
- To the Host DC if using facilities not operated or owned by Scouting (incl public sites, Youth Hostels)
