Cynwyd Activity and Mountain Centre is the Welsh Activity Centre that is owned by Northampton District Scouts.

Northampton District Scouts is the Scout District that covers the area of Northampton in Northamptonshire. We have 1800 members spread across the twenty four Scout Groups within the town. The District owns two centres to encourage and promote outdoor adventures with one on the edge of Northampton, Overstone Scout Campsite, and the other being the centre in Cynwyd North Wales.

Northampton District bought the centre in 2005. Formally the centre was Cynwyd Youth Hostel. Following a complete refurbishment the activity centre in Cynwyd now has thirty beds in five bedrooms, a catering style kitchen, toilet and shower facilities, a dining area and lounge area.

The centre has a full central heating system to allow it to be used throughout the year.
